For this project I studied the visual style of the game Albion Online developed by Sandbox Interactive. I designed and illustrated a new food item for the game, trying to replicate the visual style of the assets and concept art produced by Sandbox Interactive.

In this project I also used existing assets (such as the already existing item frames) to create the final item assets and produce a series of fake screenshots that showcase how the item would look in-game.

To come up with a new food item for Albion Online, I took a look at which combination of buffs was missing from the current consumable lineup. With this, I noticed that the combination of cooldown reduction and increased gathering yield wasn’t present in the game. Using these two buffs as a starting point, I decided to create a “Quiche” or “Egg Pie” item. This item combined the “Pie” line (which provide the player with increased gathering yield) and the “Omelette” line of food items (which provide cooldown reduction).
